Welcome Brittney!

Brittany Pistor is joining the scitrain team as a Project Coordinator. She will be responsible for providing logistical support and project planning expertise for the Operations Department. We are thrilled to have her aboard. Scroll down to learn more about her background and all of the great things she brings to scitrain, ltd.

Brittney Pistor

Hometown: I am a born buckeye…OH-IO! I was born in
Columbus, Ohio, and raised in Kingston, Ohio, on 64-
acres of rolling pastures and winding streams. Shortly
after my tenth birthday, my parents, sister, brother and I
moved north to Westfield Center, Ohio. I attended
Cloverleaf Local Schools; a school district located in the
rural outskirts of Medina County.

Educational Experience: I graduated magna cum laude from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. Kent State University is located in Northeast Ohio, more specifically, Kent, Ohio. During my four years at KSU, I worked towards completing my Organizational Communication major while also earning minors in Marketing, Interpersonal Communication and Global Communication. I was a member of the Kent Communication Society and a member of the Service Marketing Competition Team.

Professional Experience: While studying at Kent State University, I interned at Westfield Insurance for two summers in the Marketing Communication Department. This was my first, hands-on experience of marketing communication. I had the opportunity to collect and share customer stories, write blog posts, learn the basics of graphic design and help with implementing marketing collateral. After my time with Westfield Insurance expired, I was the Digital Media Specialist for GoGetter Growth Partners, an ad agency outside of Akron, Ohio. At GoGetter’s, I was responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our clients, writing content for their websites and newsletters, as well as, planning and executing their events. Upon graduation and for the last two years, I have had the pleasure of working as Membership Development Specialist for Summit Federal Credit Union. My main responsibility at the credit union was attracting and retaining members and membership groups through marketing and communication efforts. The common bond between each of my professional experiences is the opportunity to interact and build relationships with people. I am eager to put forth my professional experience at scitrain as a Project Coordinator.

My Greatest Accomplishment: My greatest accomplishment and most humbling experience thus far was becoming the first Pistor to graduate college. My family means everything to me, and being able to fulfill this lifelong goal was a dream come true. Hard work, perseverance and endless support has attributed to my personal and professional achievements. The diploma I received that day meant just as much to me as it did to my family.

Philosophy of Life: Life is a beautiful thing, and I do not intend on wasting it. I view everyday as a new adventure, more exciting and challenging than the last. My life philosophy is simple. Surround yourself with positive, hard-working people and adopt an attitude of gratitude. I strongly believe luck is the crossroad where hard work and opportunity meet.

Axel visits from Germany and Steph takes her first “selfie”

scitrain had a very special guest visit the office this week, Axel Obermeier, a German colleague from atrain was helping us explore new tools to improve global communication and build stronger alignment between our 6 offices. This was Axel’s first time to the States so we made sure to give him some “American” experiences.

Realizing that we forgot to take a group shot in the office, Steph was asked to take a “selfie” at the airport… Not too shabby for the first time ??
